I DIDN'T……
Minguliao and Bostiao entered in Village Hut Bar n Restaurant at
Carambolim-Goa, and as usual took the corner table, as they are the regular
customers of that bar, Dumgulo (the owner of the bar) attended them personally
and served them their regular drinkCashew Fenni, while Minguliao and Bostiao
sipping their drink, they were both watching the television, when the 9 p.m.
news came on. It showed a guy on a bridge who was about to jump, obviously
suicidal:-
Minguliao: "I'll bet you Rs. 500/- he'll jump"
Bostiao: "Bet you Rs. 500/- he won't"
Minguliao: "I am sure he will jump"
Bostiao: "I say he won't"
Then, the guy on the television closed his eyes and threw himself off the
bridge.
Bostiao hands Five hundred rupees to Minguliao.
Minguliao: I can't take your money,"
Bostiao: Why?
Minguliao: "I cheated you. The same news I saw at five o'clock."
Bostiao: "No, no. Take it "I saw the five o'clock news too. I just didn't think
the guy was so dumb enough to jump again!"
