Reading the e-mail of Mr. Daniel Gonsalves of ‘Goanet Digest, Vol 5, Issue 824’ dated August 5, 2010 on NORTH KONKAN's NATIVE PEOPLE's VANISHING LAND's and the website: Bombay Native People: http://www.bombayland.blogspot.com/ (2) http://www.east-indians.com/ was very interesting and worth reading it

The website showing a historical background on the Aboriginal inhabitants of Bombay, Salsette Island, Vasai and a few other places in Thane and Raigad district are the East Indians (comprising of various tribes/castes) and Kolis, gave an insightful and complete details of the ‘By Gone Era’ on the ‘EAST INDIAN PEOPLE AND THE KOLIS’ of present Mumbai (NOTH KONKAN’S NATIVES).

Reading thru the website ‘Bombay’s ORIGINAL NATIVES - EASTINDIANS & KOLIS shows them in True Lime Light and True Identity, being the original inhabitants of this Metropolis Bombay, which is now converted to Mumbai makes a profound and knowledgeable reading.

The gradual outstripping of their true identity and the degradation of their ancestral land, properties, destroying crosses and the Paddy Fields is a serious issue for all sensible and like minded people to come forward and do something before it is too late.

The above does not only apply to East Indians and Kolis of Bombay alike also to people of other states as well vis, Goa, Mangalore, Kerala and so on.

GOA too has an unique history, of its people, land, culture and traditions, where so many of them also created history both at national level as well international level in many spheres of life and various fields. Be in Music, Writing, Artists, Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, what have you, they are all there.

But now everything is gradually changing for the worse and not good. Who is to be blamed for this state of affairs is anyone guess, But no one is doing anything accept rehetoric, mud flinging and writing on the wall.

So in retrospection of the East Indiain Article a very interesting subject is now for us to ponder and do something.

We must now united for a Common Cause. This vicious cycle of the Government and their nefarious activities must be exposed and ended now or never or sooner or later. Before it runs out of control and there is nothing left of its originality and the inhabitants respective states that will sooner or later be LEFT HIGH AND DRY and the BEAUTIFUL STATE GONE TO THE DOGS.

The World is watching too of the Indian Government's NEO-TERRORISM lashedout in in every kind and disguise on its own people.

The United Nations Council and its Governing Body must be made aware and the World Bank must not render any loans to Government or non-Government Projects without checking thoroughly their true antecedents and their real intentions. Or else a time will come that it will not only disposes some of its Indian people but also destroy the Ecological Balance having severe repercussions on the Environment as well and creating havoc on our Earth Planet in Toto.

Make appeals and write to the State and Central Governments. Tell them about your plights and what’s been happening around. Send Petitions to World Governing Bodies like; United National Council and its Governing Body, there may be some light left at the end of the tunnel. Merely rhetoric or writing will have no meaning without actions and plans. SO WAKE UP BROTHERS IN ARMS AND UNITE FOR GOOD CAUSE, SOME MIGHT HAVE TO SACRIFICE MANY THINIGS BUT IT IS BETTER THAN TOMORROW HAVE NOTHING.
