*All religions are not equally good*
From: "rajendra kakodkar" < rskakodkar at yahoo.co.in<http://lists.goanet.org/listinfo.cgi/goanet-goanet.org> ><<Well said D V Bale. > I was wodering how come people not understand that religion/caste/language/culture based division in people is politician’s game. Why waste time on these when the polititians are devastating our mother earth, environment and people? Are these not bigger than religion?**I agree with you that religion should not divide us. That is what I have been repeating again and again. But the reality in India is different. Politicians are playing their games, we are deceived by them. We choose what is best. But religion should lead us to take care of the environment. Today we speak of Eco-theology. Joao observes: It is a pity you were not alive when Jesus cursed the fig tree and it died soon after or the next day, as there are two versions. Jesus and his followers were hungry and the tree was barren so there were no figs for Jesus or his followere to eat. It was not the season for figs! So what did he do? He cursed the tree and it died! Christians call this a miracle! Is this rational and sane behavior? You are right, all religions are not equally good. Celebrate life! Joao Precisely because we are not living the tenets of religion we are falling into conflicts, erosion of values, destruction of enviroment, corruption. Religion gives us the meaning of life and is a guide for living a human life. Regards. Fr.Ivo
