Read about the NH alignment protest meet at Panjim. Did Manohar Parrikar not
realise then when he was CM that the present alignment of NH17 is
ridiculous? What was Fatima DeSa doing when she was minister in the
government even before Parrikar, building religious shrines to create
obstacles for the highway authorities towards her side of the property? Was
the otherwise well informed Mathany Saldanha not aware of this NH when he
was minister? First attempt to drown a goan and then hand him a straw to
cling to. That is wise politics. The very fact goans need politicians to
glamorise their movements, all screams about corruption and injustice by
politicians is humbug. The goan community does not have the spine to stand
erect and face the tragedy.
Thanks to the anti- RP movment which has also thrown up a lot of item girls
and boys that can add to the attraction on such platforms while Goa
suffocates. Some of them will be in Delhi next month to celebrate the agony
of goans. What has happened to all that apolitical fuss and untouchability
towards politicians? From washing cars to special staus for Goa, anything
will do in this season of electoral preparations for 2012. Viva Carnaval !!!
