IT is certainly good news for the people of Colva that the Town and Country Planning Department has rejected the bid of the Colva village panchayat to build a football ground cum panchayat ghar by landfilling a low lying area in the village. This action by the panchayat would certainly have been an ecological disaster for the picturesque village of Colva.
