Dear Goanetters,
It came as a shocking news to all of us the death of our Prof.Dr.Cornel da
Costa. I remember him appreciating me for having written about caste system.
Although we could not agree on atheistic worldview, I did appreciate his
sincerity. He was respectful in his dealings with me, even when he would not
agree. He also would write personally to me whenever he wanted any
clarification. I was also sincere in my dealings with him. May he verify now
about the afterlife, theology of God's Grace, God's existence, Trinity. May the
good Cornel find precisely what we poor mortals could not understand
exhaustively on this planet and see for himself if there is God and if all
religions are equally good. He celebrated his life, let us celebrate the
mystery of death, which for us Christians is the mystery of life-giving Love!
May the compassionate Lord God grant him eternal peace!
My heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family.
Regards.

This comes as a complete shock and a reminder of our own tenuous
mortality.

Cornel and I had nothing in common politically but were on the same
side on the caste issue which we both opposed passionately.

        Heartfelt condolences to his family.

        From: Santosh:
I am extremely shocked to hear about the passing of Cornel Da Costa. He
was a great cyberfriend, knowledgeable and rational about many issues
of`interest to me. My profound regret is the fact that I could never meet him
in person. But he will continue to exist in my memories. His words will remain
in GX and Goanet archives for eternity.

Cheers in celebration of his life,

        Santosh
