The CM had assured the Assembly,the Court and the public that after the last monsoons the Casinos would be asked to go"OFF SHORE", as per the legal and English meaning! Since then,the said vessels remained in the Mandovi river, causing danger to vessels and polluting the river. Now the Cabinet is reportedly getting ready to permit them to operate at locations north and east in shore inside the Mandovi! A similar pledge was given for removal of the River Princess off Candolim? The trust deficit between the Government,the Courts and the Public surely continues be expanded on the shifting and disappearing sands of Goa. The "Contempt of Court" and "Contempt of the People" is just not surfacing enough to make a dent in the power of this democratic government to be able to get away with ................anything?
