Well, you have summarized well, the original article by Mr. Sadanand Dhume in
the Wall Street Journal.You have probably linked it better with the current
conditions prevailing in India. The WSJ article wasfrom July 20th.Obviously,
when Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi were Prime Ministers, they were answerable
to thepeople, directly. In the current scenario, the Gandhis can lie low and
let their dogs loose, to do thebarking! Everybody in India agrees that Sonia
Gandhi is the de facto PM of India. Rahul Gandhi is being projected as the
future PM. The intelligence or stupidities of the Gandhis will surface, only if
and when he becomes the PM. Then too, there will be lots of scapegoats and many
a lamb to the slaughter!
