In connection with Goa Sudharop's 2010 theme "Year of the Goan Volunteer
Spirit", a seminar for college students in association with St. Xavier s
College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Mapusa, (Principal: Rev. Fr. Walter De
Sa), will be held on Thursday, 23rd September, 2010. Also invited are students
from nearby colleges.
Programme:
8.15 - 8.45: Registrations
8.45 - 9.15: Welcome Address by the Principal and address by Executive
Director of Goa Sudharop, Mr. Ibonio D'Souza, inaugural formalities.
9.15 - 10.00: session on 'Be the Change' by Pravin Sabnis, (HR trainer, theatre
person)
10.00 - 10.45: session on 'Empowerment' by Dr Bernadette Gomes
(sociologist, teacher, artist)
10.45 - 11.00: Refreshment Break
11.00 - 11.45: session on 'Responsible Citizens' by Soter D'souza
(Director - Centre for Panchayati Raj, Peaceful Society, Expert on
governance and citizenship issues)
11.45 – 12.30: session on ‘Caring for Mother Earth’ by Miguel Braganza
(Agriculturalist, Environment Expert)
12.30 - 1.00: Valedictory function: Pledge by Participants, Report of
the Workshop, Presentation of Certificates, Vote of Thanks
