An interesting article of Paul Murray, "Why I remain in the Church":
"One of the reasons why I personally am happy to be a member of the Catholic
Church, and to remain within the Church, is because it is the home not only
of great saints but also the home of weak and struggling sinners. I choose
to remain within the Church because, astonishing though it may sound, the
Church I know so well today, with all its complications and its scandals, is
in fact the same Church, whose 'wounded' face and even 'dirtied' face, I
recognise when I read the 'Acts of the Apostles' and the Letters of
St.Paul".
