Thanks, felt very much supported by your blood boiling narrative.
Most of us only visits Goa for short time frustrated and exhausted by
the extent of inflation. We are at blame “more money no worry”.
Selfishness is deeply rooted in Goans (Who is Goan?). We forget
selflessness is waiting for us ahead. But we don’t care because today
we are at greener pasture.
We Goans are only day dreamers while outsiders lands explosives in our
wearing dress pockets. Today we are arguing about 2 party Governments,
whose population is rising in Goa? Very soon their Government will be
formed and Goans well be pampered only by freelancers and in order to
escape from Goa we’ll have to sell off even the kasti (under ware)
drying space to the church builders? Or M… builders????
Goans vision is walk with nose high in pride towards endless sky.
To look at Goa today I feel I am in coffin(in transit) after church
service way to Cemetery carried by malyalee, Bihari, Karnatakans,
Maharashtrian, Kashmiris etc. in short part time lovers of goan
women(rich and poor).
Most of us are going to die like St. Francis Xavier. Being European he
was buried in India and we being Goans will be buried outside. But,
will we die with the purpose mission(vision?).
I enjoyed your few words with sympathy in my heart for my birth place.
