I was actually flabbergasted to read Jose Almeida's message of 19.9.10.
When are Goans like him going to see themselves as Indians? Are they
waiting for another colonial power to deliver them from India! After
deliberation I think there is no use singling Goans out. Almost
everybody is a parochialist in India and all of them are busy preparing
to lead the country into utter chaos. A historical perspective will show
that we have in India at present exactly all the conditions prior to the
start of the revolution in China and we are on the way to the Indian
revolution and once it comes, it might take another fifty years like in
China to at least even very partially sound one's opinion on anything.
