*Science has not yet given a definite answer about the origins of life. It
cannot give an answer on the meaning of human existence.
*** I am not so certain about that because science too, like askesis (tapasya),
is an
instrument of The Spirit. It may one day "be able to explain life, but when it
does,
it will no longer be called science." (I have loosely quoted from Sri
Aurobindo.)
.
> **There should not be any conflict, since Science deals with the phenomenal
> world. Only Faith can tell us something definite on soul, afterlife, God,
> Resurrection.
**** Not so sure sir. There are branches of science which may one day
explain things which are at 'soul' level.

**Scientist cannot answer this question ("does not care").
*** Not So much THE Scientist but surely the duty bound Dr. Helekar "does not
care"

> **Scientists who believe only in Science become agnostics, they do not know
 about it...
***...and their prejudice may taint their judgement, encouraging a breach of
their oath to
being 'objective'
Strictly speaking, Buddha was an agnostic. There is no "god" in Buddhism.
But Buddha has charted out a way to avoid the net of samsara to attain to an
un-attributable
state of being. But scientists who 'do not care' may NEVER attain to that state
in order to say
that THAT exists or does not.

  Barad & Kakodkar:
"I believe Science and Bible are not the two sides of the SAME coin - subject
wise and
expectation wise both are independent by itself and cannot be correlated by
 any means. "
RE: Although I believe that any organised (ALL)religions are bound to be
corrupted due
to various interpretations by various vested interests. The drifting away due
to interpretation
of the original Occult or spiritual experience leads to "tautology by educated
conservatives"

Just as 'Bible is not a scientific book' Science is not a book. It is a way,
perhaps, like
Christianity( or any religion that follows a doctrine) is.

"... anyone attempts to correlate these two different subjects
directly or indirectly than that person will have to also understand that,
just as we expect that conclusions of science as to be verified before
accepting, the same way conclusions of bible will have also to be verified
 to a point of acceptability!..."

RE:Science has one advantage over 'faith' in that she has at her disposal all
the tools
of her finding for propaganda. It is also to science's advantage that one
successful experiment
in some remote lab makes it possible for 'uninitiated' (in science and
scientific theology) masses
to avail of its benefits. In contrast, seekers of meaning & God need to be
initiated and since
experiencing depends entirely on the individual capacity to experience, the
latter is a slow and tardy
process and individualistic - even esoteric.
