**Thank you, Charudatt Prabhudesai, for referring to the link of "The Intelligence-Debate-Stephen-Fry-Unedited-Film-TV-video". I heard for the first time such a speech by Stephen Fry. I was looking at the African Bishop and nuns who were there. It was amusing, since he is a comedian. At the outset he gave me the impression that he was an intellectual, or someone who knows what he is talking about. He is an excellent speaker. I listened to all the points: on Limbo, Purgatory, sex obsession, wealth of the Catholic Church, zeal of the Church for the missionary activity, "Outside the Church there is no salvation" axiom... I thought that he was jumping into a frying pan instead of "frying the Catholic Church". He knows only superficially what he has mentioned. He claims to be an atheist, enemy of organized religion. He is bi-polar. He can have his ups and downs. He could easily say at some other time just the contrary of what he spoke...also brilliantly, since he is an excellent speaker. These points can be debated. The audience was applauding. I would applaud also for his courage to speak publicly on such a topic. But would censor him for his mocking attitude, although he can deal with these burning topics diplomatically... It would be better if there had been a debate and he was questioned on what he spoke with such a fire!...
Regards.
Fr.Ivo
