Why don't you people just storm the office of the DIRECTOR OF PANCHAYAT and
throw him out from the window??
I shall attend this so called DHARNA is if I am allowed to lead this
charge, though Menino D'Souza is my good friend.

Subject: [Goanet] Dharna of Gram Sabha members on 1st october 2010 at Panjim
The Goa Democratic Decentralisation Movement along with like-minded groups
and individuals will be holding a dharna before the Directorate of
Panchayat at Junta House, Panjim on 1st October 2010 from 9.00 a.m.
onwards. The year 2nd Oct' 2009 to Oct.' 2010 was declared to be the Year
of the Gram Sabha. The government of Goa is not known to have organised
any event to commemorate this event.
As the year concludes, this dharna will highlight the innumerable
violations and problems faced by Gram Sabha members from Goa.
All those concerned about empowering the Gram Sabhas are invited to
support and join in the dharna.
They may bring along their organisation's banner and placards highlighting
the problems.
