SBI Panjim  (former Banco Nacional Ultramarino)

another thing I learnt today..

First time I heard about this bank (BNU) was in 1980s
When I read that people from Goa can claim back the gold deposited
with  then Banco Nacional Ultramarino. that's about 20+ years after
they left Goa. I am sure upto 50% of the Gold is still lying with the BNU.
As many may have lost  the papers/documents or receipts as proof.
Don't know if the first Goa Govt. did anything about it or not.

The present State Bank of India (SBI) at it's place at Panjim

The ATM located now (facing Hotel Mandovi)
As seen in the first pic above (the Two round pillars )
