Sarto Steves was a close friend of my late younger brother(Wilfred), and I remember meeting him on several occasions during my overseas leave from East Africa in the early 1950's. He struck me as a very kind and unassuming individual. He used to write fairly regularly for the Catholic journal "The Examiner", and if my memory serves me, it was he who contributed the obituary of my late brother in the same journal.
