BICHOLIM SEPT 28: A leopard who was on the prowl in Bicholim<http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/topic/search?q=Bicholim>on Sunday night mauled a calf in a cow-shed in Ona Maulinguem village<http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/topic/search?q=Maulinguem%20village>. The three-day-old calf was attacked and injured after the leopard managed to reach the animal through the grills of the cow shed, said the owner Milind Bhide. He said the leopard tried hard to take away the calf but was unsuccessful as the calf's cries woke up members of the Bhide family. The big cat escaped when Bhinde family members switched on the lights.
