First round of Kaleidoscope – Portugese quiz to be aired this Saturday
Communicare Cultural Centre has organised Kaleidoscope – a language quiz in Konkani, Hindi, Portuguese and French for the students of higher secondary schools. The first round of the Portuguese quiz will be aired on Saturday 9th October at 9pm HCN. Quizmaster Clifton Afonso will take the four participating teams through a series of questions based on grammar, culture, and spelling skills.
A unique competition, Kaleidoscope aims to improve reading skills in the different languages taught in secondary and higher secondary schools. The four particpating schools for the Portuguese leg of Kaleidoscope are Mushtifund High School -Panjim, Our Lady of Rosary-Dona Paula,St. Xavier Higher Secondary - Mapusa and Chowgule College – Margao. The winner and runner’s up of this round will proceed to the finals and will compete against two other teams who will be selected from the second round of this Portuguese quiz. This quiz has been organised in collaboration with Instituto Camões, Alliance Française, Fundação Oriente, Broadway Book Centre, Reira IT Solutions, Hotel Mandovi and Business Goa.
