The Government of Goa has neither the will nor the resolve to implement the wishes of the Goan People. For four long years the Government of Goa has chosen to just bleat and grunt while intentionally allowing Goa to be destroyed. The Chief Minister along with the Government have a vested interest in conciously allowing their buddies in the Real Estate, Hotel, Mining, Lobbies along with the Drugs and Crime Mafias to destroy Goa!
As usual the Chief Minister wants to avoid meeting with the people and we've seen this happen in the past whether it was at the State Assembly or by freely imposing Section 144. The Chief Minister (of the "I don't depend on your votes Fame") and his coterie of Ministers including Churchill Alemao (of the "squealing Goan Pigs and Raheja's in Carmona Promotion fame") and Mauvin Godinho (of the "100,000 square meters for Garbage clearance for 6 villages fame) have all the time of the world to indulge and cosy up last Sunday at the Madgaon's Rang Bhavan at the Jivit's promotion function with a certain Builder Agnelo Alcacoas whose Queeny Realty Estates is wrecking havoc in Goa's pristine Coastal villages and happens to be a certain Minister's cousin! The rest of our elected representatives are no better with all their scheming and dealing. The Chief Minister doesn't have the time of the day for the People of Goa who are shocked by the blatant destruction of our beautiful Goa! We've waited a long time and will wait no longer. From Azad Maidan to Altinho is the rallying cry of all Goans today. Let us march together and bring a change that we want for Goa. It's not the evil designs of the CM, the Ministers, the MLAs, Sarpanch and Panchayat Members but the wishes of the People of Goa that must be fulfilled! Let us march to protect our hills, villages, forests, rivers, Arabian Sea, Khazan Lands, fields, islands, mangroves, flora and fauna! Let us march to define what true Development we want for ourselves! Let us march to preserve the Goa we love for future generations! We will work towards fulfilling those wishes come what may! The following report from today's Herald. *********************************************************************** GBA adamant on march to CM’s residence HERALD REPORTER PANJIM, OCT 13 Once again Chief Minister Digambar Kamat will have to face a test from the ‘aam aadmi’ on finalisation of the Regional Plan 2021, even as his office worked overtime on Wednesday to convince the Goa Bachao Abhiyan to cancel their agitation programme tomorrow. Convenor GBA Sabina Martins said the CM’s office called to say that he would be out of station. “We don’t accept this as he would be very much in Goa to attend the inaugural programme of International Travel Mart at Campal, here”, she stated. Martins mentioned the police machinery too seemed to be all geared up to stop them from marching to the CM’s official residence at Altinho, here. An officer called me and told me they would stop us at the Church Square and allow us no further, she said, and added, “I find all this to be pressure tactics”. She said the officer of the rank of DySP initially asked her to avoid the march citing the election Code of Conduct. “If that’s the case then all this while the authorities should have not allowed religious and other processions”, she augured. Martins said many people from the innermost corners of the State and members of village groups will arrive in Panjim at the Azad Maidan at 4.30 pm to a legitimate demand. “Our march is on; whether the CM is there or not, we will see that our memorandum reaches his table”, she asserted. She said the various groups and people will assemble at the Azad Maidan, here, at 4.30 pm and then proceed to Altinho come what may.
