This is with reference to the recent deliberations in the Goan Media on "Brand Goa" at the ongoing International Travel Mart (ITM) Goa. I must say that "Brand Goa" already had its Main/Basic Strengths for a long time; its clean environment, un-contaminated water/land/air, general cleanliness of the state, peaceful living, low rate of crime, manageable demographics, greenery and most importantly; its very own People having general distinct macro personality/flavor and way of life (who are now being reduced to a minority in their own state). However one can see today all of the latter is being diminished, by corrupt politicians and people who elect them; so preserving/addressing these basics will certainly help in the promotion of Brand Goa. There is no rocket science involved here but simply some basic common sense on why Goa is losing out!!
