The Government of Goa, Department of NRI Affairs has decided to invite application from interested Goan Diaspora youth, mainly students and young professionals in the age group of 18 to 28 years, who have distinguished themselves in various fields and shown abiding interest in India, specially in Goa. The 3rd Know Goa Programme (KGP) is scheduled from November 28 to December 12, 2010. The terms and conditions for the eligibility are as under. It has been decided that after completing the assignment in Goa from November 28 to December 6, 2010, the KGP group will be taken to national capital Territory of Delhi and the World Heritage monuments at Agra on 7th December. Terms & Conditions and Eligibility Criteria 1. Goan Diaspora Youths in the age group of 18 – 28 years who are not Indian nationals and have had no opportunity to discover their roots and have abiding interest in India in general and Goa in particular, and who have distinguished themselves in various fields, are eligible to apply. Those who have already participated in the Know India Programme organized by Government of India, Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs are not eligible for the Know Goa Programme. 2. The Government of Goa will bear to and fro air fare from the original destination to Goa, from Goa to Delhi and from Delhi back to destination by the cheapest economy class. Tickets for onward journey from the original destination to Goa will be emailed to participants. 3. While in Goa the participants will be accommodated at Miramar Residency in Deluxe Rooms on twin sharing basis. This is a prime property of Goa Tourism Development Corporation located at the famous Miramar Beach only 04 kms away from the Panaji the capital city of Goa. The participants will be provided breakfast, lunch and dinner. All expenses on lodging and boarding will be borne by the State Government. 4. While the participants will be taken to Delhi at State Government cost, the Government of India, Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs will host their stay in Delhi (including a day trip to Agra). 5. Participants will be paid Rs. 250/- each per day as pocket expenses. 6. Final departure of the participants to their respective destinations will be from Delhi. That is why the return tickets will be Ex-Delhi.
