Today 21st Oct is the 7th Death anniversary of Alfred Rose, the Melody King
of the Konkani Stage.
The ‘Fans of Alfred Rose’ a page on facebook created by Kuwait based

Till date there are 385 fans of Alfred Rose from different parts of the
world, and has been active from the time
it was formed. Besides some tiatrist and writers the group also has Alfred
Rose daughter Alria Rose D’Souza
as one of the members, who recently sang in audio album 'Konkani Classics
Revisited' - Alfred Rose all time greats.
The group members have posted pictures of Alfred Rose audio cassette covers,
CDs and Konkani song books,
which Alfred Rose had published. The members have also shared their inputs
on Alfred Rose and his songs -
songs which are not available but were heard on the akashawani those days -
songs like Tum Konknom? Bela Bela,
Mogache vantte, Gitar Xinkoi, Gagreachem Manam and many other which were on
LP records.
Theres a blog site where the song titles of 400+ songs, and lyrics of 150
songs can be found.
It is possible that some of the fans may have all 400 songs but still many
more are missing, these are mostly
songs composed and sung by Alfred Rose and his family, n songs composed by
others for AR.

Though it has been 7 years that Alfred Rose has passed away, his songs are
still alive and are being heard around the globe.
Sigrid Pfeffer, German lady played Alfred Rose songs on German Radio, and so
also Todd Solomon, on Australian Radio.
Alfred Rose songs can also be heard on internet Radios in the gulf and rest
of the world, some sites also promote his old songs for a price.

Rose Musical show with the original sound tracks
and popular & unheard songs of Alfred Rose.
