The complaints against Bombay High Court Registrar Ms. I.K. Jain for abusing her authority and against District Judge Ms. Nutan Sardesai of judicial impropriety have been filed by me solely in Public Interest.
These issues, like the misdeeds of Advocate General Mr. Subodh Kantak and former High Court Public Prosecutor Mrs. Winnie Coutinho were highlighted only after a thorough study, proper application of mind and obtaining documentary evidence under the Right to Information Act. As a citizen and more so as a lawyer I would never be a mere spectator to any misdeeds even in the judiciary. In last over 30 years of fighting against injustice, nobody could intimidate me and I would never be cowed down by any threats or consequences that may have to be faced for speaking out fearlessly. There is a mistaken misconception that the wrongdoings by judicial officers should not be exposed and could be pushed under the carpet. We are in a democracy and nobody is above the law.
