We used to go to ‘Bomboi’ or Bombaim or Bombay from 
here  by 'agbott' Onboard ship Konkan Sevak, 
Konkan Shakti, Saritia ..
(I still wish the jetty is thrown open for general public 
atleast for  one month before demolition)
Lot of memories here - Ask  the retired 'Tarvotti' or their
family
 
It’s a restricted area now
Citizens not allowed except if you are a high spending type

In early 70s, I think I remember paying Rs.14 to Bombay from here.
At the time the air fare was only about 6/7 times more by Indian
Airlines from old Dabolim airport (close to the present one)
