The original Clube Vasco da Gama was a grand place - high ceilings (required to keep the place cool), tall windows, large mirrors, billiard tables, et al. Shame "progress" destroyed what was once a beautiful piece of Indo-Portuguese architecture.
Bar-Restaurant Capucinna was another quaint place, as was the old Cafe Central (where today's Mr. Baker is situated). ----- Original Message ---- > From: JoeGoaUk <[email protected]> > To: [email protected] > Sent: Wed, 27 October, 2010 5:07:26 PM > Subject: [Goanet] Talking Photos: Garden, Palace, Club, gates, Mangoes etc > > Club Vasco da Gama, > Estd. 101 years ago > http://www.flickr.com/photos/joegoauk30/5111105137/sizes/l/ > (I wonder if there are any FFs members in it) >
