Aside from the smoke coming from under Colin's pants- really cute and ghostly (fuloi-fuloi, chepti fuloi!)....too bad, he didn't float into the air! At least that would enter the genre of circus, perhaps the supernatural!
Pardon me, but Goan (so called western) music like Brazilian music is soooooo repetitive and boring *yawn, wake me up *...all hype and nothing much else. So say, whats special about this? Apologies if I sound critical- I really hope we up the ante a little. Really. Some of our village funeral-fiesta bands do better no? Yo Joe-Ponji-Margao, laai re ek video. Think Goans have never explored the native singers (good grey heavens, the hoity-toity of Panji blankly sit at classical concerts these days *yawn*). One local singer particularly caught ones eye during this years Carnival (I think from Quepem). Poor man sang his heart out, drowned by the touristy and super cheezy loud wedding noise during the carnival floats. Which reminds me of this gem from Cartagena (town so **** described by Gabriel Garcia Marques), the late Etelvina Maldonado http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSy-wOpuXv8&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrV3Wyd-GgY z Goa <[email protected]> wrote: > Here's a colourful Konkani music video that has some beautiful scenes from > Goa: > > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WX-bOTzTr_I > > > > > _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ _/ _/ tambdimati: the Goa review is a community blog of original _/ art, writing, music, news and commentary from and about the _/ smallest state in the subcontinent. check out the newest _/ member of the Goanet family daily at _/ http://www.tambdimati.com. _/ _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/
