"Granada, I'm glowing under your spell" goes the haunting restraint, and I am sure Gabby will treat UG to both language versions of the song. I spotted the sign in the New York Arab quarter only yesterday : Al Andalus Restaurant. The remote and parched southern province of Andalucia lies, nevertheless, at the very soul of the Spanish ethos, even as Arab's yearn for the the country they had named Al Andalus, and of which Bin Ladin himself has very publicly sworn a 'Reconquesta' of his own. The grandeur that was Granada and Toledo, Sevilla and Cordoba, is crytallized in the citadel of the Alhambra, the timeless relic of the Caliphate, itself a prized monument to what had been a wonderful human experiment in sharing, giving, and best of all, love. If only we were all so lucky, again. eric.
