Dear all: In the posting below, made on Sept 23, 2009, I had said, inter alia:
> Francisco D'Souza is the son of Goanetter Placido D'Souza, former > ambassador to many countries, and posted on behalf of the Indian > Foreign Service to at least two dozen countries. > If I'm not mistaken, Francisco's sisters are very early Goanetters. > Herman could confirm. > They trace their roots to Anjuna, but Placido grew up in Pune. He > mentioned that he was inspired to join the IFS because of another Goan > who got in before him, Peter Lynn Sinai. --FN" My apologies for getting the last sentence quite wrong. Peter Lynn Sinai and Placido D'Souza joined the Indian Foreign Service in the same year (1957). The inaccuracy is regretted. Mea culpa. FN PS: Just to set the record right, and I hope Google somehow finds both these comments together :-) Frederick Noronha :: +91-9822122436 :: +91-832-2409490 _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ _/ _/ tambdimati: the Goa review is a community blog of original _/ art, writing, music, news and commentary from and about the _/ smallest state in the subcontinent. check out the newest _/ member of the Goanet family daily at _/ http://www.tambdimati.com. _/ _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/
