[2] We all know the the entire Goan 'journo' swamp has been bought out. [3] Admin Noronha, any further questions? == JC comment: The most relevant point (IMHO) - subject to modification - from the above is # 2. I am not sure that the word "bought out" is the most accurate to describe that swamp. I'd recommend the following alternate words i.e. Kept, Bamboozled, Banaoed, Employed, Salaried etc If one is honest, one will accept that the alleged Goa Press was "owned" by two specific powers - both of which made hay during the Lusitanian days i.e. The Mine Owners and the Business Community. That the first CM was a mine-owner was not accidental, was it? Did you expect anything but some Brainwashing and Bondollam? (Rhymes well with Bandodkar, does it not?). Some Goans who had not previously lived (significantly) in Goa were castigating the criticism of the state of affairs in Goa ...as a Half-Full look at affairs. So, as long as the other powerful entity (the Forca) was given Prime (adarshoid) Land, Control and Praise .... and those alleged Desh Premis and so-called Freedom Fighters were given some Tin Medals, a few appointments and a pension, all was quite glorious especially in December. The poor, especially the older Goans, could go fly a kite. In the shadows, the babus came in and did a number on land and the funds which the State made. Just vide the lavish parties hosted by the babus ....while the hospitals and schools maintain their level of disgrace. Now, we have the other swipers who have come to town, Accordingly, I believe that the question in #1 is redundant. The more appropriate question would be: Name One Politician who did not "use" the Goa Journos. If you find that one "honesht" one, I have a bridge to sell. Oh yes ... now we do realise, I hope, WHY Goa has gone down the tube.....despite generating (as Bernado Colaco rightly points out) the zillions of dollars every year. The glorious speeches having been noted. jc
