Dear friends,

We are pleased to inform you that Goa finally has its own e-waste solution.
Due to rapid technological advancement, many electronic products are becoming obsolete within a very short period of time, creating a large surplus of unwanted electronic products, or "e-waste." This is a looming problem, which Goa has no clue about. The union government has got into the act and is set to follow the footsteps of Europe and Japan. The ministry of Environment in September 2010 announced draft rules for handling of e-waste, due to come out shortly, fixing the responsibility on all stake-holders.

*Here's where you come in*
At present, you have no idea how to dispose off your old electronic equipment from your offices and industrial units and you end up handing it over to a scrap dealer. If you think that by giving it to your neighbourhood 'kabbadiwala' or friendly scrap yard dealer, that you are doing your bit to save the earth, THINK AGAIN. Facilities exist throughout the country, employing workers in what is known as the "informal sector" - the poor - who dismantle and reprocess roughly half a million tons of e-waste each year. The work is done largely by hand and without protective gear to guard against the known toxins in old electronics. These toxins like mercury, lead etc can cause liver problems, lung disorders, cancer and a whole lot more health issues.

*Here's where we come in*
Group TenPlus arranges the pick-up of e-waste from the corporate sector, with value added services. In association with Attero Recycling, India's only integrated e-waste recycling company, we provide complete e-waste solutions from collection to disposal for both -- the formal and the informal sector. Our operation entails: safe transportation through closed-bodied trucks; full data security to clients; safety and health precautions for all employees; pollution-free facility and complete processing of e-waste with zero landfill.

*And here's what you get*
What you get is a certificate that your company is a part of the green process that corporate companies around the world are now following. Businesses are already running on the merit of being eco-friendly, non-polluting and caring for tomorrow. In Goa, companies are already following suit. Hindustan Unilever Ltd, Kundaim; GMI Zarhak Moulders Pvt Ltd, Verna and Digilink India (formally D-link india), Verna are already on-board. Group TenPlus is the only authorised entity for e-waste collection on behalf of Attero in Goa. Learn more about us at www.grouptenplus.com
