You must understand:
1). Some of the frontrunners of this so called Hindu-based "patriotic
citizens" are non Goans and do not have an iota of Goan blood running into
their veins. This category is just the mob who are feeling bold for being
unchallenged by true Goans . One of them is Adv. Satish Sonak who is a rank
outsider.
2) All this tamasha against the Portuguese rule in Goa is just the 'show' to
justify the gobbling of fat pensions by these so called Freedom Fighters (
who are, in Goan parlance known as 'Double Fs)
3) That these same so called Double Fs secretly pray in the confines of
their homes that Portuguese controversy may live forever for the dole at
the cost of the Goan tax-payers. In all probability they genuflect and say
'Namaste' to the Portuguese for keeping them in good stead and for being
continually employed.
4) Practically all of these Double Fs who are staging the show against the
Portuguese have an axe to grind. They were behind bars for petty crimes and
not for displaying their patriotism for Goa or India. Those true Freedom
Fighters (if any alive today) have never accepted the dole.

Goa Hindu Group Targets Portuguese Rule
Some 400 people rallied in the Goan capital of Panaji to condemn the
Portuguese conquest. A Hindu-based “patriotic citizens” group in Goa has
sought local archbishop’s support to condemn Portuguese, who ruled the
western Indian state for 451 years. It was the 500th anniversary of
Portuguese conquest of Goa. They carried placards and shouted slogans
condemning imperialism. A memorandum from the group urged Archbishop
Felip Neri Ferrao of Goa and Daman to condemn Portuguese rule.
