Goa’s First “Drive-In Cinema” for a Konkani Film
Sharon Mazarello‘s Konkani Film TUM KITEM KORTOLO ASLO ? is writing new
pages of “History” in Goa, one after another.
Never has a single Film created so many Historical ‘FIRSTS” in Goa,
within such a short time.
It is a matter of great pride for all Goans, because that single
History-Making -Film, is a Goan Film and a Konkani Film.
To begin with, the Film’s concept itself was historical besides making a
bold statement for the womenfolk especially. In that it was the first
Konkani Movie to be produced by a Goan Woman, viz. Sharon Mazarello who
also wrote, produced, directed, did the playback singing and also played
the lead in the Film.
The second historical achievement of this Film is that, it is the First
ever Konkani Film to have an “International Premiere” in Kuwait.
And before that, for the first time in Goa again, the music of this film
got launched on popular private radio station - Radio Mirchi.
Finally, just when it seemed that the Film has had enough of its share
of History-Making”, “Tum Kitem Kortolo Aslo ?” makes yet one more.
It becomes the first ever Konkani Film to be screened in Goa’s first
“Drive-In Cinema“, much to the pride of all Goans.
Yes, for the very first time in Goa, a “Drive-In Cinema’ has been
created at the Saturday -Night -Market, Arpora, Bardez, only to screen
the Konkani Film TUM KITEM KORTOLO ASLO ? with Subtitles in English.
The history-making “Drive-in-Screening” will happen at 7 pm, on the 12th
December 2010 (Sunday).
A comfortable arrangement for 500 Cars at a time has been made at the
Saturday Night Market, Arpora, to be a part of this
“History-Making-Process”, at Goa’s first ever “Drive-In” for a Konkani
Film. The Entry per Car is fixed at Rs 400/- and Advance –Booking has
already begun at Luizinha Stores (Mapusa Municipal Market), “Rhythm
House” Music Shoppee (Margao) & at the “Drive-In” Venue - the S.N.M.
office at Arpora.
