This morning I watched a bunch of kids from a school in my neighbourhood go
past my house in a procession shouting slogans like "Bharat Mata Ki Jai!". I
remembered my childhood when I would also be compelled to do the same without
even understanding what I am doing.
My mind raced to Walter Lippmann's writings on "public Opinion". The
'bewildered herd' of Goans have been cleverly employed by Goa's 'Specialised
class' of economic butchers to create a euphoria of prosperity and contentment
from 50 years of liberation.
Mahatma Gandhi's 'Experiment with Truths' was released by Gandhiji's grand
daughter on the eve of Goa's 49th Liberation Anniversary. But again I hear that
the entire project has been patronised by builders and miners. But one is
doubtful whether Gandhiji's 'Hind Swaraj' will ever be translated into konkani?
Gandhiji is being translated to keep the bewildered class of goans busy while
the plunder goes on.
It was also good news that some goan slaves and goan betrayers were honoured
with awards by the 'Specialised Class' to distract the public.
This is all, Go Man Tak.
