Dear Floriano &all,
On hindsight, I may have "Jumped the Gun " by endossing the Sunburn
Festival on Candolim beach by my gone as the wind comments without as
much as taking into the facts as Mr Floriano has laid out.below.
Obviously, as an Oversaes Goenkar, I must admit my sheer ignorance to
the fact that the Entrance Fee of Rupees 10,000/- or so may be beyond
the reach of our local Goans. As he rightly puts it, it's more for the
benefit of the Politicians in particular the Home Ministry and the
eve-present Police & Drugs Barons or Nexus as some of us call them.
But seriously, who LISTENS to the Voice (s) of REASON in today's Goa ?
You don't have to see/go beyond our Goan Noses to see that even our
Activist and Crusading friend, Advocate Aires Rodrigues has a " battle "
on his hands trying to persuade the Governor of Goa that he-is but a
Public figure and not a Private person of ridicule as the Guv says he is!
So I now REST my (basket) Case as the Voice of REASON is laterite
stone-deaf in today's Raj Bhavan also!!
