It is a bad idea to respond to communally charged rhetoric or abuse by
mounting a communal attack in return. Even though real bigots deserve
what they get personally, the majority of the people in their community are
good and decent. They do not deserve to be attacked or offended. Recognizing
who is a real bigot on the internet can also be hard because of the possibility
of being under the influence of alcohol or having a genuine mental health
problem.
