Abhivyeakti Panaji won the hearts of the audience when they displayed an excellent performance of the tiatr ‘Teacher Mhaka Palov Di’ staged today i.e 11th January 2011 in the First Children’s Tiatr Festival organized by Tiatr Academy of Goa at the Auditorium of Goa State Museum, Panaji.

The script of the tiatr focuses the drawbacks of teachers handling tender students in the schools. It also exposes different attitudes of parents due to which the students are pressurized to study beyond their limits. Written by Mangala Nadkarni ‘Teacher Mhaka Palov Di’ is an eye opener not only for teachers and parents but also to students and the society.

The efforts of the director Shri. Shantaram Pawar needs to be appreciated for his direction due to which small children acted with maturity. Their movements, the delivery of dialogues, their reactions and expressions were very effective through which one could establish the directional abilities of the director. It was really a team effort and hence almost all the artistes did justice to their respective roles. However, Akshata Bharne (Principal), Jovito Andrade (Pedru), Vinsferd Fernandes (Rock), Shambavi Deshpande (Maya Teacher) and Jocel D’Souza (Grandmother) excelled in their roles.

The songs (Kantaram) were also effective as the singers, many of them new comers, also performed with confidence thereby keeping the audience entertained throughout. On the whole the performance of ‘Teacher Mhaka Palov Di’ impressed the audience.

Today, i. e 12th January 2011, St. Anthony’s High School Monte de Guirim will stage the tiatr ‘Ami Soglle Ek’ at the same auditorium at 3:30 pm. The play is directed by Marciano Noronha.
