-- Samir Umarye BICHOLIM JAN 25: Bicholim police today arrested a driver from Navelim in connection with the death of a pedestrian from Amona Bicholim.
According to the Bicholim police one Samuel Janna Bishra (30) originally from Zarkhand but presently staying at Amona was walking on the road at around 7.45 pm on Monday when he was hit by a speeding truck (GA-04-T-1701). The truck driver, Dyaneshwar C Gawas from Navelim ran away from the scene along with the truck. Based on the information provided by an eye witness the police arrested Gawas. Bicholim PSI, Ditendra Naik is further investigating the case.
