About the Author
Ariosto Coelho is an integral artist, a delightful painter, a soul
traveler, a spiritual leader, a transformational healer and a writer
whose noble work and inspiring words have touched countless lives in
many countries where he has lived, studied and worked especially in
India and the U.S.A.
He has an extensive educational background with six Master's degrees
from universities in India, Europe and the U.S.A. that culminated into a
Ph.D. from California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.
His doctoral research was published in 1994 as Mandalas and Personal
Mythology and was introduced by Dr. P. R. Dubashi, Ph.D., D.Litt.,
Vice-Chancellor, Goa University, as a "highly reflective ... mystical
note ... woven around one of the richest symbols in Hindu mythology."
For his outstanding work on behalf of the little, the lowly and the lost
in Sulcorna, Goa, he was nominated by the Government of Goa, India, for
the 1986 National Child Worker Award. In 1987 he was awarded the
Outstanding Young Person of India Award by the Goa State Jaycees.
In 2010 he was recognized by the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo
County for serving youth and families in California as a Licensed
Marriage and Family Psychotherapist for over ten years.
