For some reasons, I prefer doing my specs and teeth in Mapusa. Panjim, a bureaucrat town, is simply too pricey. So is Calangute, where the prices are suited to the tourists. I make my specs at good ol' Agnelo's (near the Mapusa taxi stand) and prefer Dr Gretchen Pinto for dentistry (at the Gomes Catao Building). I've had a good experience with both and would not hesitate to recommend. FN
