Our Lady of Lourdes:
We celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. Mary appeared to a 14-year
old peasant girl called Bernadette Soubirous, who since February 11, 1858,
experienced a series of apparitions of a Lady dressed in white and with a
blue belt/sash around her waist. She introduced herself as "I am Immaculate
Conception" ("Yo soy Immaculada Councepcíou" in the Gascon dialect).
Millions of pilgrims experience the heavenly power.
The Catholic Church has accepted as miracles 67 out of thousands. The
Medical Bureau and the International Medical Committee accept them as
"extraordinary" (beyond the reach of Science).
If anyone has any problem with medical cures at Lourdes ("Lourdes Miracles")
can write to the Medical Bureau of Lourdes.
The same is true of the Eucharistic miracles. Information can be sought from
the Italian authorities at Lanciano.
