Bhakti, visibly tired after playing 35 high level International games in 40 days was very happy. "This is a pleasant surprise for me," exclaimed the pride of Goan sports. "The norm rules are so strict and complicated that I never believed that I shall get it. It is God’s grace my efforts are rewarded."

The GCL Brand Ambassador now needs to win all four rounds if she has to earn her final norm. Bhakti had scored her first norm in the Marienbad Masters at Meriensky Lazne in the Czech Republic last month and followed it up by a norm in Hungary. With these performances Bhakti Kulkarni has placed Goa on the map of International sports.
