Sunset Art Programme @ Kala Academy on Feb 20 (from 5pm-6:30pm) features
award-winning senior Goan artist, Rajendra Usapkar.
Children of all ages are invited to participate. Free basic art supplies
(easels, paper, brushes and paints) will be provided. This session
showcases one of Goa's best known and best respected artists, Rajendra
Usapkar.
Rajendra holds degrees in art from Goa College of Art, and the
prestigious M.S. University in Baroda. At every stage in his career, he
has won accolades including many Goa state awards, the Bombay Art
Society prize, the All India Exhibition prize, and the Tilak Smarak
Trust prize. His work is in the permanent collection of the National
Gallery of Modern Art and has been widely exhibited across India, as
well as overseas.
