Millions of dollars are at stake and in this case it is US marketed Palmolein oil. Regions of the west coast from Maharashtra to Malabar have been only using coconut oil in cooking and consuming coconuts for centuries. Mervyn himself admits in another post that he is a former farm labourer. Was he and his ancestors using olive oil back in those times? A little of education and a new place and higher salary never dreamt of, an a tinge egoism, gives one an impression of having attained all that there is, including knowledge.
http://www.naturalnews.com/026547_coconut_oil_women_fats.html --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dr. Ferdinando dos ReisFalcão, I make my money investing in research firms that develop new drugs. The process of researching is a tedious one and even if a new drug is developed, it has to be approved by the FDA. The FDA demands all the info on the trails of the new drug and it can take years of further analysis by the FDA before approval is granted. The FDA take their role seriously and their approval process is stringent and exhaustive. If you and Floriano believe that the FDA is composed of corrupt scientist, hey! I am not surprised! Any belief system can be very comforting...... Lastly, working as a farm labourer was the best education I ever got. That experience taught me the value of land, labour and capital and where economic and medical progress is really centred. Mervyn1389Lobo
