Everyone knows that we are a bunch of "susegadh" people and would find every excuse not to wake up from our slumber, so what has to be done to force people out of their "susegadh" attitude ? Do you have a better suggestion ? What I wrote, I wrote because whenever I am in Goa I try to attend all the possible meets that are organized without ever doubting the motives of the organizers, as long as it is for the Goan cause. Unfortunately what I have seen on most occasions is the pathetic response of the people on weekdays, and the most recent one that I was present was the meet organized by GBA that had hardly 300 people, Out of more than fifteen lakhs, only 300 hundred felt the need to commit themselves, so what can be the remedy for this apathy ? Do you have any suggestions ? If any, the organizers should surely look into those, I am sure ideas and suggestions will always be welcome. Is it not true that everyone should be given a chance to take part in this march ? If no, than only the organizers should do what they think is right, if yes, then, these meets must be held on holidays so that everyone gets a chance to take part and no excuses not to. I am sure the next question will be, what guarantee is there that people will come in large numbers, the answer is no guarantee but I am sure there will be lot more people on a holiday than on a weekday and we can only hope, the numbers will increase to a great extent, that should be our perception and not let them come if they love Goa, that luxury can be had once in thirty years in place like Egypt, or once in fifty year in a place like Libya. It's been sixty years since annexation, are we any wiser or even rational in our approach ?
