To Goanet - The one thing that strikes you now as you look out to the horizon in Goa is how our land assets have been destroyed in less than 10 years all so that fatcat Indians may come park themselves here.
In Panjim you cast your eyes towards the hills on the other side of the Mandovi and what do you see - the monstrous Tata concrete turd. Visible from Miramar now are large tracts of hillsides laid low with new concrete (Kegdevelim, Nerul etc). Near Bambolim you have the Aldeia de Goa atrocity. I urge every Goan who is able to do so, to go see the new Dynamix Group hotel coming up in Bambolim. If that doesn't get you worked up, nothing will. These new dwellings are not for the benefit of Goans. They were not built with Goans in mind. They were built and targeted at Indians flush with cash. Goan politicians and panchayats were bribed, files made to disappear and so on - so that these projects could be realized. Every time I see these structures, I feel repulsed. r
