I would like to first start off by introducing our dedicated committee members. Ronnie Dalgado - Vice President Audrey Vieira - Activities and Event Coordinator Ezilda Lobo - Cultural Coordinator Donovan Rodrigues - Treasurer Sharel Figueiredo - Activities and Event Coordinator Sue Furtado - Youth Coordinator Dee Furtado - Youth Coordinator If there is anyone interested in joining the committee or volunteering at any one of our events, please let us know! We welcome any and all help! Upcoming Events It was suggested that we let you all know when the upcoming events are going to be. Here are some loose dates of some of our major events. When they become firm, I will update you all accordingly. Easter Picnic - April - Location TBD Summer Camp - September 16th - 18th - Camp Seely Christmas Ball - December - Location TBD Recording our History and Culture One of our initiatives this year is to record our history and culture. Since we are a small minority, it is imperative that we record and pass our culture on to future generations. We are asking for volunteers to submit any information that they may have. The information will then be posted to our website and credit will be given to the submitter of information. You may also choose to remain anonymous if you wish. Examples of things to submit include: Recipes (credit will be given to the chef) History Customs Places of Interest Music Dance Please submit all information to [email protected]. Your support is very much needed and appreciated! Cultural Dance at the LA Archdiocese- Need Volunteers! Every year the LA Archdiocese does a major diversity Mass celebrated by the Archbishop, in which a lot of world cultures are represented. We have been invited to represent the India Catholics and have a prime opportunity to do a typical Goan Dance at the opening of Mass. If you are interested in this great opportunity for our community, we need both dancers and choreographers to participate!
