Peafowls are increasingly seen all over Goa....this is a recent addition to the bills etc. Someone from the villages was asking if their arrival is a sign of the water table decreasing/dropping? This person heard about this somewhere and says that there are increasing number of peafowl all over the costal villages in the south.
