I am not sure what is meant by a "full day" in school, but remembering
my childhood days in school, I just cannot believe that a
child has the attention span to spend the entire day in school.
There must be time to do homework, research information in the library or on
the
internet (if such a thing is done in India), and of course time to be with
friends and play.  In other words being a child.  After all let us not forget
the old adage about all work and no play.
Not being an educator, I dont know what the optimum time is for a child to be
in
school. More is not always better. I feel that after a certain amount of time
in
the classroom, a child's mind will tend to wander and you cannot cram anything
more in the youngster's mind.
