For most of us in Navelim, life is much more than the above named individuals. There are a lot of other better things happening in Navelim. Most of the NGOs are working to save Goa from greedy politicians. When we were not happy with one politician, we thought the other was better. But the switch over only proved disastrous, akin to the proverbial jumping from the frying pan into the fire. It is very convenient to invoke another’s name to divert attention from the main issue. It has been mentioned that NGOs are misleading people. But the statement which referred to Mopa airport clearly proved as to who was misleading whom. If these politicians wish to get a re-election, they must listen to the voice of the common people and not force people to listen to their voice. Otherwise, it will only end up as the familiar saying of how the cookie crumbled. Maria Isabela, Navelim
